Description
JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) is a seafront complex of high-rises, along which runs the well-known The Walk promenade, about 1.7 km long. The ground floors hold restaurants, cafés, shops and street terraces, and in the evenings seasonal markets and art pieces appear. The promenade opens onto the city beach, The Beach at JBR — a landscaped stretch with loungers, cafés and water activities. It is one of Dubai's busiest places for a walk.
JBR beach is public and free to enter, with soft sand and a gentle slope into the water, which suits families with children. Lounger rental, water sports and equipment hire are available, and a shopping area and food court are right there. Bluewaters Island with the Ain Dubai wheel is clearly visible from the promenade. The district adjoins Dubai Marina, so the walk extends easily along Marina Walk.
Tip: Combine a stroll along The Walk with The Beach at JBR — from there you get a clear view of Bluewaters Island and the Ain Dubai wheel.
