On 7 September 2026 the RTA announced a 10-year naming-rights agreement with Garmin. The new name is already official, but station signage, on-board announcements and RTA app data are being updated gradually until the end of November 2026, so you may see both names during that period.
What was the station called before?+
Before ONPASSIVE the station was named Noor Bank and Noor Islamic Bank, and its original geographic name was Al Safa. All of these refer to the same Red Line station, R29.
What is near the station?+
The station sits on Sheikh Zayed Road between Al Quoz and Al Safa. Nothing touristy is within walking distance: the Alserkal Avenue creative cluster is about 1.6 km away and Al Safa Park about 3.7 km — a ride, not a walk.
