Description
The Museum of Illusions is an interactive museum in the historic waterfront area of Al Seef along Dubai Creek. The exhibition is built around optical illusions, holograms, mirror rooms and installations that fool perception: a tilted room, an infinite tunnel, an "upside-down" room and a hall of distorting mirrors. Most exhibits come with an explanation of exactly how the illusion works.
It is a compact museum that appeals to adults and children alike: you do not only look at the exhibits but interact with them, taking unusual photographs. Its location in Al Seef combines easily with a walk around the old town, the Creek waterfront and a ride on a traditional abra. A visit takes about an hour to an hour and a half.
Tip: Bring a phone or a camera — almost every exhibit is built for entertaining photographs.
