Description
Zabeel Park is a large city park of roughly 47–50 hectares in the Zabeel area between Al Karama and the Dubai World Trade Centre. It is one of the city's biggest green spaces, with lakes, lawns, shaded avenues, cycle paths and barbecue areas. The park contains a well-known landmark: the giant golden Dubai Frame, about 150 metres tall, with an observation deck. The park is divided into several themed zones linked by pedestrian bridges.
The park is built around family time out: there are playgrounds, picnic areas, cafés, bicycle rental and wide lawns for relaxing. At weekends and in the cool season residents come here to walk, exercise and picnic. Entry to the park itself is inexpensive, while going up Dubai Frame is paid separately. Its central location makes the park a convenient green pause between sights.
Tip: Combine a walk in the park with going up Dubai Frame — the best views and photographs come closer to sunset.
