Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what data is processed when you use the Dubai-Maps (dubai-maps.ru) website (hereinafter the “Site”), for what purposes and on what grounds, as well as what rights visitors have. By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

Dubai-Maps is a non-commercial information project (a guide and satellite maps of Dubai). We do not maintain personal accounts, do not sell goods or services and aim to collect as little data as possible.

1. Operator and contacts

The operator that determines the purposes of data processing is the owner of the Site. For any questions related to data processing and to exercise your rights, write to info@dubai-maps.ru.

2. What data is processed

The Site does not require registration and does not ask you for your name, phone number or other personal data directly. Only data that is collected automatically when you visit is processed:

• technical request data: IP address, browser and device type and version, operating system, language;
• data about behaviour on the Site: pages viewed, time and duration of the visit, transitions and clicks, the referral source (referrer), search queries within the Site;
• cookies and identifiers used by the web analytics system;
• data you provide yourself if you decide to write to us by email (the sender’s address and the text of the message).

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Data is processed in order to:

• ensure the operation and security of the Site;
• analyse traffic and improve the content and usability of the Site;
• respond to your enquiries by email.

The legal grounds are your consent (expressed through the use of the Site and your browser settings) and the operator’s legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Site. Processing is carried out taking into account the requirements of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”, and for users from the EU — in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Web analytics (Yandex.Metrica)

To collect anonymous statistics, the Site uses Yandex.Metrica (counter No. 94937169). Metrica uses cookies and collects anonymised data about visits. The Site has Session Replay (Webvisor), click map and link-tracking features enabled: they record anonymised actions on the pages (clicks, scrolling, movement) to analyse usability. Metrica is not intended to identify a specific individual.

The processing of data by Yandex.Metrica is governed by Yandex’s privacy policy. You can disable collection by blocking cookies in your browser settings or by installing the Yandex.Metrica opt-out blocker.

5. Cookies and local storage

Cookies are used by the web analytics system (see clause 4). In addition, the Site stores your appearance preference — the choice of a light or dark theme — in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This is a technical setting; it is not sent to the server and is not personal data. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time using your browser.

6. Third-party services

Some features of the Site work through external services. When they load, your browser connects to those services’ servers, which may receive your IP address and technical data in accordance with their own policies:

• Google Maps and Yandex.Maps — interactive maps are embedded on the pages of districts, locations, metro and institutions;
• Satellite imagery — static images are prepared in advance and served from our own domain;
• CBR exchange rate — to convert prices into roubles, pages may request the current rate from a third-party open service;
• Hosting — the hosting provider processes the technical logs of requests to the Site.

7. Transfer of data to third parties

We do not sell or transfer the collected data to third parties, except for the services listed in this Policy and cases expressly provided for by law. Since the services used (for example, Yandex, Google) run on servers in different countries, data processing may involve their cross-border transfer.

8. Retention periods

Anonymised analytics data is stored for the period set by the web analytics service. Email correspondence is kept for as long as is necessary to respond to the enquiry.

9. Your rights

You have the right to request information about the processing of your data, to require its rectification, blocking or deletion, and to withdraw your consent to processing. To do this, write to info@dubai-maps.ru. You can manage cookies and analytics yourself through your browser settings.

10. Children

The Site is not intended to collect children’s data and does not knowingly request it.

11. Accuracy of information

The information on the Site (addresses, coordinates, prices, opening hours, routes) is for reference only, may become outdated and is provided without warranties. Before a trip or contacting an institution, verify the data in official sources. If you find an error, let us know at info@dubai-maps.ru.

12. Changes to the Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page; the date of the last change is shown at the top of the document.
