Palm Jumeirah district
Palm Jumeirah
25.1124, 55.139 The famous palm-shaped artificial island with hotels, residences and Atlantis.
About the district
Palm Jumeirah is a world-famous palm-shaped artificial island and one of the symbols of Dubai. It consists of a 'trunk', frond-shaped branches and a surrounding crescent breakwater; its full shape can only be seen from above or from a satellite.
The island is home to luxury residences, beach clubs and hotels, including the famous Atlantis The Palm. Palm Jumeirah is both a prestigious residential address and a popular tourist destination with a water park, restaurants and beaches.
The Palm is a world of its own on the water: residences and hotels line the 'trunk', villas with private beaches hide on the 'fronds', and Atlantis rises at the top of the island. People come here for a resort holiday and the views, but keep in mind that without a car or the monorail the island feels very stretched out.
