Consulate General of China

District: Al Karama

The Consulate General of China in Dubai provides services to citizens of the country (passports, notarial services, emergency assistance) and issues visas for entry to China.

More

The Consulate General provides consular services to citizens of the PRC (passports, travel documents, notarial and legalization actions, emergency assistance) and oversees the issuance of Chinese visas within its consular district. However, the acceptance of visa applications has been moved to a separate Chinese Visa Application Service Center, located in the WAFI Mall shopping centre in the Umm Hurair 2 area. It is there that applicants submit documents and have their fingerprints taken, while the decision on the visa is made by the consulate.

To enter China, residents and tourists from the UAE first complete an online application form and book an appointment through the visa centre's website (visaforchina), after which they submit their passport, photo, and supporting documents in person and undergo fingerprinting. Requirements and the set of documents depend on the type of visa (tourist, business, work, etc.), so they should be checked in advance on the official resource. Note that both local and Chinese holidays are days off for the mission, which affects processing times.

Working hours and services may change — check the official website or call the institution.
