Reception hours are limited, so it is worth booking in advance and coming with a full set of originals and copies of documents.
UAE residents do not submit Schengen visa applications for entry to Germany directly to the consulate; the acceptance of applications and the collection of biometrics have been transferred to the VFS Global visa centre, which is the only authorized submission point. An appointment at VFS is mandatory: without a confirmed slot, documents and biometrics will not be accepted, and the decision on the visa is made by the consulate. Before your visit, carefully check the list of documents for your travel category (booking, insurance, financial proof), as the requirements are strict.
