Madinat Jumeirah is a large resort complex in the Al Sufouh district, styled as an ancient Arabian town. Artificial canals plied by abra boats run between the hotels and restaurants.
The heart of the complex is the covered Souk Madinat market, with shops, restaurants and a view of the sail-shaped hotel Burj Al Arab. It is a great spot for a leisurely stroll, a meal by the water and souvenir shopping.
Tip: Take a traditional abra ride along the complex's canals — especially beautiful in the evening.
